Public Partnerships and Grants Specialist
Samsons fosters external relationships and secure funding through grants and public opportunities. I coordinate and manage grant applications from start to finish, working with department managers and directors, as well as external collaborators. It is my responsibility to ensure compliance with all grant requirements including approved disbursements, closeouts and reporting. prior to my assignment at SisterLove, I worked as Deputy Administrator of Finance for Clayton County Senior Services, Grant Coordinator for Forsyth County in Georgia, Director of Grant Services, City of Rochester and Director of Grants for Genesee Community College, Batavia, New York. I was an adjunct professor of mathematics for 25 years at Monroe Community College. I have written and been awarded several $million grant proposals from federal, state, Local agencies, and foundations. I have been a grant application peer reviewer for Federal Department of Labor (ETA) and Federal Department of Education for the past 10 years. I earned a Bsc degree in Business Administration (Accounting), MPA, Public Administration, MsC in Adult Education, and PhD in Educational Leadership.
